More Good News on the Iraq Front

Here are two different opinion pieces from two very different sources: the American Thinker and the NY Times. The Shocker? They both relay the good news going on in Iraq.

In short: troop morale is high, Gen. David Petraus' strategies are proving effective, Iraqi police force is gaining strength, and corruption within the Iraqi military command is down.

Even the liberal NY Times writers conclude that enough good is going on in Iraq that our troops should remain at least until 2008.

More Credibility to the Bible

Yes, faith is hoping for things unseen, but I believe God gives us small bits of encouragement now and again for the purpose of putting the doubts in our hearts to rest. Did I just call His creation small? Correction. For to me, nature too, is a reminder that there most certainly is a Creator and that He is so much bigger than anything my limited perspective could imagine.

These archaelogical findings are indeed small reminders that Bible believers are on the right track. Christians should not put our faith in archaeology, but it sure is nice to have some physical encouragement to those whose faith is weak.

This man has endured much persecution already. We need to stand up for his life and pray for the others around the world living under such treatment simply because they live their lives for Jesus. Yes, the Bible makes clear that such persecution was certain to come, but our Savior, during his life on Earth, showed compassion on those who suffered physically and I believe He will respond to our prayers.
