She's Got a Point:

She may be blunt, but Ann Coulter points out the obvious in ways no one else has the nerve to:

"Six imams removed from a US Airways flight from Minneapolis to Phoenix are calling on Muslims to boycott the airline. If only we could get Muslims to boycott all airlines, we could dispense with airport security altogether. Witnesses said the imams stood to do their evening prayers in the terminal before boarding, chanting 'Allah, Allah, Allah' ---coincidentally, the last words heard by hundreds of airline passengers on 9/11 before they died. Witnesses also said that the imams were talking about Saddam Hussein, and denouncing America and the war in Iraq. About the only scary preflight ritual the imams didn't perform was the signing of last wills and testaments... The idea that a Muslim boycott against US Airways would hurt the airline proves thatArabs are utterly tone-deaf. This is roughly the equivalent of Cindy Sheehan taking a vow of silence. How can we hope to deal with people with no sense of irony? The next thing you know, New York City cab drivers will be threatening to bathe."

If the Democrats Win, Part II

An example from local government in why democrats are bad leaders:

In the Sunday, November 12, 2006 issue of our local Herald Times, the recently elected officals (almost all Democrats) laid out their priorities for their positions. Below I've summarized their positions in italics and added my commentary beneath each one.

Chris Gaal, Prosecutor: working with youth in the juvenile system.
What about prosecuting crimes?

Jim Kennedy, Sheriff: decreasing jail population and using the money to hire more deputies and increase the salaries of current deputies.
Okay, let me get this straight: you're going to cut jail population (one must assume that one way to do that is to simply stop arresting people) and then because there is supposedly a decrease in crime levels, you're going to hire more deputies???? What about making crime stopping your priority and giving the tax payers some relief once you've met your goals?

Charles Newmann, County Council Member: his priority is to increase wages for county employees. Wow, that's gratifying. You get elected by the people and the first thing you want to do is raise taxes to pay yourself, your wife (yes, he's conviently married to the County Auditor--isn't that cushy?) and your buddies. What about cutting taxes so the people of the county have more money in their pockets, huh?

Those were just three of the most obvious bad choices of Monroe County voters. Well, those who voted for these poor trustees of our tax money will get what they voted for. For the rest of us, we'll just have to suffer too.

If the Democrats Win?

Scary, but predictably true:

By James Lileks:

"We're told the Democrats have an agenda---in the first 100 days, Congress will overturn the accumulated horrors of the Bush regime. (Except for Reagan's funeral. They'll let that stand.) A preview follows.

Day 1: Party like it's 1992; citizenship for all Gitmo detainees; a blanket amnesty; and a 'Circle of Healing'ceremony held on the Capitol steps. Day 2: The troops in Iraq will leave, walking in reverse, as if someone is playing the tape backwards; special construction brigades will quickly repair all the buildings destroyed since the 2003 invasion; and the lastAmerican out will reinstall Saddam. Thereafter, whenever someone criticizes America for invading Iraq, we'll look quizzical and say we don't know what they're talking about. Day 3: Bush tax cuts repealed, so the upper 10 percent in income pay 67 percent of all federal taxes instead of 66 percent. That will make all the difference. Day 4: Peace Corps sent en masse to Middle East to apologize personally to everyone and hand out gas-soaked flags and matchbooks. Burn one on us! Don't you love us now? Day 5:Peace Corps Hostage Negotiation Unit commissioned. Day 6: Gay marriage legalized by congressional voice vote, so no one has to go on record. (This allows gay Democratic congressmen to vote no without being outed.) Days 7-100: Impeachment hearings. Sure, Pelosi has said she's against them. But as she promised: The children will be in charge. They're cranky if they don't get their way." --- taken from the Patriot's Monday Brief

Non-Election-Related Message for Christians:

http://art-for-jesus.blogspot.com/2006/09/get-up-and-follow.html

I encourage thoughtful (conservative) Christians to vote, but more importantly, to return to the word of God and spread it to others. That is the only lasting difference we can effect for the kingdom of God on this Earth; that is, turning the hearts and minds of the people to the Supreme Savior of the Universe.

Tony Blankley on Democrats:

"The Democrats are more radically liberal and irresponsible than they have been at any time since 1933. The damage they will do to every aspect of federal action over the next two, four or six years will be substantial---perhaps grave. For me, defeating that danger is the highest priority. After the election, beating up backsliding Republicans will be a task I will return to with relish."
